A shooting war with North Korea is coming, probably in mid-2018 if not sooner. A financial and trade war with China is coming before that, probably before the end of 2017. You should buy physical gold and gold mining stocks right now. Don't wait. When the world wakes up to what's going on with China and North Korea, prices will adjust instantaneously; it will be too late to grab bargains. They'll be gone. For now, here are our latest thoughts on our open positions.
Gold rallied on the weak dollar early in the week of Aug. 15–19. Then it pulled back a bit later in the week on hawkish noise from the Fed about possible interest hikes. Gold has shown impressive resilience through a volatile period for currencies, fixed income and commodities. Stocks only seem to go up (for now), so we can leave those to one side.
